CVA's Education Working Group is excited to announce the final, winning papers of their CVA Call for Papers 2022 initiative. The winning papers have been complied in the 

CVA Research Journal 2022:  Challenges and Opportunities, The future of DeFi in Traditional Finance

Similar to several industries, the traditional financial industry has been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has highlighted the fragility of regional but also international economies and, more importantly, accelerated the digitalization in every aspect. Especially since the publication of the Bitcoin Whitepaper there is an urgent need to accelerate structural transformation and business resilience across the traditional financial industry. Greater digitalization and the ever-expanding DeFi industry clearly require the need for adaptation by the traditional financial industry are some of the most compelling policy considerations that can improve the trajectory of the recovery and resilience of the traditional financial industry.

Within the framework of the Crypto Valley Association‘s Education Working Group, Working Group Chair - Tilmar Goos initiated the Call for Papers 2022 in June 2022. The call was open to anyone globally.

FINALIST PAPERS

The WG received over 20 research paper submissions and 9 final papers were selected:

  4. JÉRÔME BENATHAN - ESG & DEFI RESPONSIBLE INVESTING IN THE CRYPTO SPACE
  5. SALOMÉ BERNHART - APPLICATIONS OF CBDCS AND PRIVATE STABLECOINS: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS.
  6. SUZANA MARANHÃO MORENO - ENABLING KYC AND AML VERIFICATION IN DEFI SERVICES
  7. MARKUS ABBASSI & DOMINIK JOCHAM - OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES FOR BANKS IN THE CONTEXT OF DECENTRALIZED FINANCE
  8. CHADI EL ADNANI - DEFI VS CEFI AND TRADFI, PRICE DISCOVERY COMPARISON THE RISE OF DEXS AND DAOS
  9. NIKO TORGIN MACKINGA - TWAP ORACLE ATTACKS: EASIER DONE THAN SAID?

These final 9 papers have been presented online to the CVA community, as well as the top 3 papers‘ authors had the chance to present their research findings during the Immersive Education Summit in Lucerne on 6-8th October, 2022.
