CVA appoints Emi Lorincz as President of its Board of Directors
On February 2nd, 2022 the Crypto Valley Association has announced a new Presindent of its Board of Directors in Emi Lorincz. The role was previously filled by Daniel Haudenschild, who has seved as Presindent for three years, however due to his professional commitments he could no longer dedicate his time & effort to the role. The association is thankful to Daniel for the transformational work he did in an especially difficult time during Covid and for leaving the association in a stable position. He will continue to serve as a Board Member until April 2022, but will not stand for reelection on the 2022 Annual General Assembly.
With Emi Lorincz now at the helm, CVA is in very capable hands. Since 2017 Emi has been passionately and actively contributing to the CVA as a member. She has organized countless industry events and initiated many projects at the CVA. She was elected to fill a Board Member position in 2020 and subsequently re-elected in 2021. She was instrumental in helping the CVA go digital during the pandemic and expand CVA's global reach. She also played a leading role in delivering a successful Crypto Valley Conference in 2021, which is CVA's annual flagship event.
Emi has started her career in traditional financial services at Morgan Stanley, then moved to aircraft financing at GE Capital and later to commodity trading at Eni. Since 2017 Emi’s focus has been directed towards the ever evolving world of digital assets and blockchain technology. Bringing a wealth of work experience from the traditional markets and the field of cryptocurrencies, - she combines these two worlds to help companies benefit from both. She is passionate about advancing the case of Bitcoin, so much so that she talked on TEDx about how Bitcoin can be the “Guardian Angel” of privacy. Dedicated to increasing the usage and adoption of cryptocurrencies, Emi is currently engaged in rolling-out the institutional solution of security company Ledger, while serving on the council of the Bancor Foundation and the Board of the Crypto Valley Association.
Emi has her strategic vision set for the association and her near term goals include creating more value to existing CVA members, providing educational content and resources to individuals who wish to learn more about the ever evolving crypto space, delivering a highly interesting and successful Crypto Valley Conference in 2022 and bringing higher education, universities under the CVA umbrella and collaborating with stundents.
The Crypto Valley Association congratulates Emi on her new role and wishes her a successful presidency!
