CVA Sustainability Working Group welcomes New WG Co-Chairs
The Crypto Valley Association is excited to announce that Carmen Cucul, consultant at Etheros HealthData Foundation, and Michele Soavi, COO/ Chief Sustainability Officer at ImpactScope, are taking the helm as co-chairs of the CVA Sustainability Working Group. The Sustainability WG is an active group of professionals and companies who work and operate in the sustainability space. They have organized many events and published numorous research papers. The goal of the working group is to explore and advocate for blockchain-based solutions that can help to reach the 17 SDGs, ESGs and a sustainable future.
As 2025 is approaching, Carmen Cucul brings her vision to further elevate the working group’s impact. She shares: "In 2025, our Sustainability Working Group will aim to embark on delivering comprehensive, high-quality research initiatives that delve into the evolving relationship between blockchain technology and sustainability goals. Our focus will be on not only generating valuable insights but also facilitating meaningful dialogue through engaging learning events. We want to build a working group whose members initiate activities that bridge the gap between technology and environmental responsibility, fostering collaboration at the intersection of blockchain and global sustainability efforts."
Michele Soavi highlights. "We are excited to explore more opportunities and calls for proposals that lie at the crossroads of blockchain, sustainability, and emerging technologies. Our aim is to take a forward-thinking approach, placing a special emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) and its real-world industry use cases. Our goal is to cultivate lasting partnerships with companies and individuals who share our vision for a future where technology is harnessed to address critical sustainability challenges and drive positive societal impact."
Carmen and Michele are being passed on the torce by the previous WG Chairs, Sean Murphy and Maja Kehic. We'd like to thank them for their hard work and dedication in shaping the group’s foundation over the past years. Their efforts have paved the way for the exciting new initiatives ahead!
